Pricing, Administration & Billing

Effective 12 October 2021

Pricing

Pricing for the Solution Engineering Tool (SET) is designed to provide companies of all sizes affordability, transparency, flexibility, and control. Use of SET is based on two pricing options: 1) Consumption-Based Pricing and 2) Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing. A small business with a limited budget or a business of any size preferring to “test drive” SET before making a greater commitment to it might try out the Consumption-Based Pricing option first. Businesses seeking a simpler and more predictable means of billing over time might prefer the Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing model. This option offers unlimited opportunities, unlimited seats, and easily fits the budget of any size company.

Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing):
The Consumption-Based Pricing model allows you to open, close, and re-open previous deals. Each deal opened is charged $236.95 per month with a continued discounting down the longer the deal is opened. See the table below.

Number of Times an Open Opportunity in SET is Billed

Monthly Charge Amount for an Open Opportunity in SET

    1 – 12$236.95
    13 – 24$189.56
    25 – 36$142.17
    37 – 48$94.78
    49 – 60$47.39
    61+Free

The credit card used to register for the use of SET will be charged a one-time set-up fee of one dollar ($1.00). Then, your company’s credit card will be charged a fee of $236.95 per month for any opportunity that is open in SET. Should the opportunity in SET be closed, then your company’s credit card will no longer be charged a monthly fee for the specific opportunity unless it is re-opened at a later time. Once an opportunity is closed in SET by your company, its associated data will be inaccessible to your company unless down-loaded in advance.

Data Retention & Re-opening a Deal: The data for the closed opportunity will still exist in SET for your company’s reuse should it decide to reopen the opportunity. If your company decides to re-open a particular opportunity in SET, then the monthly charge for the opportunity will be dependent on how many charges to the opportunity have occurred to date. Reference the table above.

Time-Opened Discounting: From the calendar date that your company opens an opportunity in SET, it will be charged a fee of $236.95 per month for the specific opportunity that is open in SET. Every 12 calendar months that pass from the date that the respective opportunity was opened in SET will decrement the initial monthly charge of $236.95 by 20%. This means: Starting month 13, the monthly charge is $189.56. Starting month 25, the monthly charge is $142.17. Starting month 37, the monthly charge is $94.78. Starting month 48, the monthly charge is $47.39. Starting month 61, you will no longer be charged a monthly amount to maintain the information for the specific opportunity in SET. These charges only apply when the opportunity is open in SET.

Changeover to Option 2 (Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing): You may change your pricing option from Consumption-Based Pricing to Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing at any time. The process to make this happen is simple. Just complete the contact form at the bottom of the page to start the process for the changeover. Once the changeover is complete, all opportunities that were opened in SET under Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing) will automatically be converted over to Option 2 (Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing) and all pricing in effect with Option 1 open opportunities will cease.

    Option 2 (Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing):
Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing allows companies to use SET and have unlimited opportunities, unlimited seats, and a predictable periodic billing amount that easily fits the budget of any size company. Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing requires signing of an annual Service Agreement. Just complete the contact form at the bottom of the page to contact us to discuss your interest in subscribing to SET’s Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing. We will easily get you using SET in no time.

    Administration

Permissions: For both Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing) and Option 2 (Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing), opportunities can only be opened in SET if your company’s SET Administrator assigns permission to do so. Opportunities that are open in SET can only be closed by the individual(s) assigned to so by the SET Administrator or the SET Administrator themself. Note: For Option 2 (Enterprise Edition Based Pricing) only, Solutioneering, Limited Liability Company (LLC) “Solutioneering” provides overall permission to your company’s SET Administrator for the use of SET once Solutioneering’s Service Agreement for the initial annual subscription with your company is fully executed.

Managing Your Portfolio Deals Efficiently with Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing):
Your company can manage its cost to use SET when using Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing) by regularly reviewing its open opportunities and deciding which ones might be appropriate to close. This action is recommended. As aforementioned, once an opportunity is closed in SET for Option 1, its associated data will be inaccessible to your company unless down-loaded in advance. The data for the closed opportunity will still exist in SET though for your company’s reuse should it decide to reopen the opportunity.

    Explanation of Billing

    Option 1 (Consumption-Based Pricing):

When an opportunity is “newly opened” in SET it will be charged to your company’s credit card on the 1st day of next month and added to the company’s monthly invoice. The monthly invoice details the total cost to your company for all opportunities that it “has open” in SET on the 1st day of each month. For example, if an opportunity is newly created on 11 February 2021, the billing date will be 01 March 2021.

If your company decides to close an opportunity in SET, the opportunity will remain open until your company’s credit card is charged on the next billing date for the company’s invoice. After the invoice is successfully billed and the credit card is charged, the respective opportunity’s status is designated as “closed” in SET. This means that the opportunity and its associated data will be inaccessible to your company (unless down-loaded in advance) and therefore will no longer accrue a monthly charge amount. For example, if an opportunity was initially opened on 11 February 2021 and is subsequently closed on 16 April 2021, then your company’s credit card will get charged on 01 May 2021, and the opportunity will be closed. No other charges will occur to your company’s credit card for the specific closed opportunity unless at some point in the future your company decides to reopen the particular opportunity. In such a situation, charges will continue as long as the opportunity is open until a maximum of 60 charges to your company’s credit card for the specific opportunity have occurred. Reference the above table.

All recurring charges of “all open” opportunities in SET to your company occur on the 1st of every month. The charge amount to your company depends on how many times an opportunity has been consecutively billed. For example, an open opportunity with 25 monthly charges to date will have a monthly charge of $142.17. Your company’s credit card will be charged for the total cost for all opportunities that are opened and will be detailed in the monthly invoice.

    Option 2 (Enterprise Edition-Based Pricing):

Once Solutioneering’s Service Agreement for the initial or renewed annual subscription to use SET is fully executed with your company, you will have up to 45 calendar days to make the first subscription payment per the Service Agreement. In the Service Agreement, you have the option of selecting payment periodicity (i.e., monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or making a one-time payment in full). A Service Agreement for renewal will be electronically sent to the business point-of-contact identified as part of the existing Service Agreement 60 calendar days before the end of the current Service Agreement in effect. This is a window of opportunity for either party to contact the other to discuss any changes to the terms of the Service Agreement.

For the initial Service Agreement or any renewal, an invoice will electronically be sent to the business point-of-contact identified as part of the Service Agreement in effect within five business days of signed service activation or signed renewal for the use of SET. Payment is to be made via Automated Clearing House (bank account to bank account) transfer or by mailing payment to Solutioneering, LLC (Attention: Billing Department), 205 Van Buren Street, Suite 120, Herndon, Virginia 20170.
